We’re now approaching the second half of the inaugural USFL season, and we’re here to break everything down.
Coming into week 6 the Birmingham Stallions are still undefeated, the New Jersey Generals look scary in the north and the Houston Gamblers hold many midseason records but sit at 1-4. Needless to say, it’s been a fun season and we’re now starting to see how the post-season may shape up.

As for how you can watch or attend, let’s go over all of the details.
Tampa Bay Bandits (3-2) at Philadelphia Stars (2-3)
Saturday – 1PM EST – NBC – Stream – Tickets
The Philadelphia Stars will look to rebound after losing to the undefeated Birmingham Stallions. Bryan Scott is still on the sidelines, so Case Cookus will get another start and a chance to redeem himself.
Jordan Ta’amu and the Tampa Bay Bandits seem to finding their rhythm come off another big win last weekend, putting them over .500. Both teams are in playoff contention, but need to stay on their toes or their divisional counterparts could easily surpass them.
Michigan Panthers (1-4) at Birmingham Stallions (5-0)
Saturday – 7:30PM EST – NBC – Stream – Tickets
The Birmingham Stallions will look to continue the momentum they’ve created for themselves when they take on the Michigan Panthers.
Coach Fisher has been making adjustments, but none have seemed to get the Panthers past the finish line. Now the team has a true kicker and punter, but they’ll need to rely on their defense and hope that Reggie Corban can get going if they want to topple the Stallions.
At this point in the season Birmingham looks unstoppable, and to the naked eye it would seem that they should be able to come out of this one with a win.
Pittsburgh Maulers (1-4) at New Orleans Breakers (3-2)
Sunday – 12PM EST – FS1 – Stream – Tickets
Coach Wilson is coming into this week after his Pittsburgh Maulers secured their first win of the season. Last week the team had brought in Vad Lee to mix things up at QB, and it worked just at they had hoped. Lee was able to lead the team during the second half to a game ending touchdown, sending Houston back to the drawing boards.
The New Orleans Breakers didn’t look like the team everyone has been watching this past weekend. A lot of it comes down to nagging injuries plaguing Kyle Sloter. New Orleans has a solid defense, so they’ll look to lean into that to get back on the winning side this weekend.
Houston Gamblers (1-4) at New Jersey Generals (4-1)
Sunday – 12PM EST – FS1 – Stream – Tickets
Ever since the first week the Houston Gamblers have struggled in the second half. When looking at the midseason stats leaders, Houston is all over the list. Yet, they sit at 1-4. It’s increasingly looking like they’re going to be out of playoff contention in the near future, so Gamblers fans better hope Coach Sumlin has a few tricks up his sleeve.
On the other side of the field we have the New Jersey Generals that have won-out since their first week loss. Each week Coach Riley seems to find a new piece of the offense to tweak, and so far it’s been working out for them. They’re arguably one of the most complete teams in the league, and the North is theirs to lose.
