This is a big week for the USFL, players and coaches are headed to Birmingham, AL to report to training camp. This will be the first time that each of the eight teams will meet up and start building their strategy for the upcoming season.
As players started reporting for camp, we’ve seen an interesting Instagram story come out of the mix. Boogie Roberts of the Pittsburgh Maulers shared a video with the caption “USFL Hard Knocks coming soon”.
Beyond the caption, the video shows two cameramen documenting the players entering the hotel.
Does this mean that the USFL is going to make a program out of the season? Not necessarily, but it was just yesterday that Houston Gamblers RB Coach JD Runnels joined USFL Network where he mentioned that the USFL was looking to do a ‘Hard Knocks’ type program.

We’ve reached out to the USFL for a comment, but at the time of publication we’ve yet to hear back. We’ll keep you posted as more information on this subject appears.
UPDATE: We’ve spoken with Boogie Roberts and he has confirmed that the USFL is filming a ‘Hard Knocks’ show during the season and he is set to be one of the featured players.
