It’s official, we’re now halfway through the inaugural USFL season. So far, we’ve seen the New Orleans Breakers have a player featured each week this year. With a loss this past weekend, could this be the first time we see them drop out?
Let’s take a look and see who made the list!
Offensive Player of the Week – CJ Marable | Birmingham Stallions

The Birmingham Stallions continued their undefeated street this past weekend when they disposed of the Philadelphia Stars. During the matchup CJ Marable was able to secure 114-yards on 23 attempts and grabbing a touchdown for the team. He averages 5-yards per run and had a long of 29 to keep the Stallions on the winning side.
At this point in the season it’s hard to imagine the Stallions taking a loss, and if Marable keeps these stats up they may not.
Defensive Player of the Week – DeMarquis Gates | Birmingham Stallions
The votes are in…

At 5-0, it would make sense that the Birmingham Stallions would occupy multiple spots on this list. When is came down to the fan vote, DeMarquis Gates came out on top. During the game he grabbed four tackles and 1.5 sacks on the way to their fifth victory. It’ll be interesting to see how the Stallions perform in the playoffs when they’re outside of home territory. Until then, look forward to them continuing on the path their on now.
Special Teams Player of the Week – Ramiz Ahmed | Pittsburgh Maulers
The results are in! ⚒⚒

Last, but not least, is Ramiz Ahmed coming in clutch for the Pittsburgh Maulers. A lot of attention has been put on Vad Lee coming in at quarterback, but if it wasn’t for Ahmed’s 9-points the team wouldn’t have came out on top. Ramiz Ahmed went 3/4 on field goal attempts on the afternoon, many from long yardage. He’s been the one consistent on the slow-to-start Maulers, but it looks like they may be able to turn things around.
