Kicking off March, DraftKings was the first sportsbook to confirm they would be hosting lines for the upcoming USFL season. Not too long after the league put out a press release announcing they had been approved for sports wagering in 15 states.
With both the inaugural and supplemental drafts now complete, we get our first look at the betting odds for the USFL Championship game on DraftKings.
Leading the pack is the fan favorite Michigan Panthers. This would make sense as they arguably have the biggest name coach, and with a strong draft performance and and early pick in the first round they could be on track to repeat what the original franchise did in 1983.
In a three-way tie at +700 is the New Jersey Generals, Houston Gamblers and Birmingham Stallions; which interestingly enough is the host city for the season. It doesn’t seem like the odds makers are taking home field advantage into account for the Stallions.
Needless to say, these odds can and will change as the season gets started. Once the games begin, we’ll really know which teams are performing and which leave a little to desire.
