The XFL Returns to the Spring League

The Spring League Suspends Season Due to Covid-19

It was just last week when The Spring League was forced to cancel one of its games due to Covid-19, now it looks as if the situation has gotten much worse. With just one week left to play in the season and the Championship game after, The Spring League has been forced to suspend the rest of their season.

In an online statement, The Spring League states “As the cases of Coronavirus continue to surge nationally, we believe it is in the best interest of the health and safety of our players, coaches and staff to conclude the regular season”

It was not too long ago that fans were hoping the XFL would attempt to return in 2021, this is just another sign that the new ownership group made the right choice in waiting until 2022.

We here at XFL Newsroom loved what The Spring League was doing this year, going out of the norm to continue to provide entertaining football. We hope to see them rebound in upcoming seasons and look forward to seeing how they continue to evolve as an organization.
