It was only a matter of time before we heard some news concerning Darius Victor. According to multiple sources (including NBC’s own ProFootballTalk), the New Orleans Saints will be working out the former New Jersey General.

Victor was sensational in the USFL this season. He finished the year with 577 yards, and led the league with nine rushing touchdowns. His performance was enough to earn an Offensive Player Of The Year award, which was certainly well deserved.
Offensive Player of the Year @yungvitov has been a force to be reckoned with all season long for the @USFLGenerals 😤🎖

On top of that, Victor was a valuable asset in multiple other areas. This included catching passes out of the backfield, and making important plays on special teams.

Interestingly enough, Victor has spent time with the New Orleans Saints in the past, back in 2017. With Alvin Kamara’s status up in the air right now, the Saints might be looking for a powerful force to hold down the fort in his absence.
Without a doubt, Victor was one of the USFL’s top athletes in 2022, and proved what he can bring to a football team by dominating week in and week out. You can stay up to date on all the USFL players moving to the NFL with our official tracker.
