Michigan Panthers DB Jameson Houston Signs With Seattle Seahawks

Another Michigan Panther is headed to the NFL, as DB Jameson Houston has signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Houston was a standout cornerback for the Panthers this season, and impressed Seattle during his workout with the team earlier this week.

In the USFL, Houston performed quite well. He finished the season with 45 total tackles, alongside a pair of interceptions and multiple passes defensed.

While the Michigan Panthers struggled as a team to win football games, Jameson was consistent week in and week out. He put up solid numbers in every outing he was a part of, serving as a leader on the Panthers defense.

This isn’t the first time he will be with an NFL team. The former Baylor product has spent minutes with the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars – but hardly saw the field at all.

Now, due to his solid performances in the USFL – and the national exposure that the league provided him with – Houston has an opportunity to pursue his NFL dreams with the Seahawks.
