This past season there were a few guys that made a name for themselves in the USFL. One of which is Scooby Wright of the championship winning Birmingham Stallions. He quickly became a fan favorite after his week 4 “Shark-Dawg” sack celebration.

Scooby Wright is no new-comer to the game of football. He started his career at Arizona University before heading to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. From there he made appearances in the AAF and XFL, both of which had their seasons come to an early demise.
When the USFL came around Scooby Wright made the jump, and it this time it worked in his favor. Not only did the league survive its inaugural season, Scooby Wright became a champion in the process.
During the USFL’s docu-series “United by Football”, Wright had discussed training for MMA before making his return to football. With the USFL heading into season 2, it looks like Scooby may be testing his talents in new waters.
TMZ reports that Scooby Wright has auditioned for the WWE earlier this week.

Some may think that this is a strange move, but professional wrestling is full of former football players. Could Scooby Wright be the next one to make the jump? We’ll just have to wait an see. If not, we’re sure Coach Holtz would love to have him back with the Birmingham Stallions next season.
